Samurai

There was a contest on a website called designbyhumans.com. The winner of the contest will have the design put onto a t-shirt. So I decided to enter the contest. This is the design that I submitted. The Flash

This is a painting I did over the summer of the flash. I used acrylic paint and painted on a canvas board. I got the image from the cover of the first issue of The Flash comic book. This is one of my first paintings, so its nowhere near as good as the original.

Francis Manapul is the artist behind The Flash comic book. For that reason alone, he has become one of the artist I look up to. I hope that one day  I can be as good as he is. 

Gorilla face card

This is a face card I created while I was in graphic design class. It was made using adobe fireworks. 

What I did was make the gorilla then i copied and pasted it. Then I flipped the imagine. The time it took me was about three weeks. it took so long because I had the class every other day. I'll be posting other work I've done on the computer, so stay tuned!

Pyrographic Bear

This is a pyrography piece I did during the my winter break.  Pyrography or wood burning is the art of decorating wood or other material, such as leather. It is something my dad and my uncle have been doing for a very long time. They would draw horses or cowboys. After watching them do this for a very long time, I decided to give it a try. 

I first drew the bear with a pencil, then started using the wood burning tool. I used different tips to get different results.

I think pyrography is really fun and I cant wait to do it again! 

The Joker

This is a illustration of the Joker I did last year. I used prisma color pencils and a couple of markers. I really liked the way it turned out. It was the first time I used color pencils seriously, and I was amazed how good it turned out. I've tried using color pencils again, but I haven't been able to get the same results. But that doesn't stop me from trying.  

Spider-Man

This is an inked Spider-Man I recently did. I liked the way it turned out. It turned out better than I expected. I used India ink and a watercolor brush. This is the second Illustration I've done this way and I really like it.

Monster Painting

This is a painting I finished a while ago in art class. The assignment was that I could only use only primary colors, and black and white. I started this painting in the beginning of October, and finished it by November. I decided to paint these monsters because of Halloween. 

I first painted the background with a dark purple. Then I painted in Frankenstein's monster by first painting the shape of his head. I then added the mummy and the werewolf by painting in their shapes, then adding detail later. I later added the hills and the castle along with the full moon. The last thing I added was the fog. for the fog I used a really watered down white.
